Superheater
Fossil fuel power plants often have a superheater section in the steam generating furnace.The steam passes through drying equipment inside the steam drum on to the superheater, a set of tubes in the furnace. Here the steam picks up more energy from hot flue gases outside the tubing, and its temperature is now superheated above the saturation temperature.
Reheater
Power plant furnaces may have a reheater section containing tubes heated by hot flue gases outside the tubes. Exhaust steam from the high-pressure turbine is passed through these heated tubes to collect more energy before driving the intermediate and then low-pressure turbines.
According to the installation mode in the boiler, the serpentine tube panel can be generally divided into two types: vertical
suspension type and horizontal suspension type. The vertical suspended serpentine tube panel is generally a single-layer
structure, which is mainly used in the high-temperature section of the superheater and reheater. The end of the tube panel isdirectly connected with the pipe joint of the header, suspended and arranged in the longitudinal direction of the header, and penetrated the ceiling of the furnace chamber, and sealed with it through the accessories on the tube panel; The horizontal suspended serpentine tube panel, most of which are of double-layer structure, is fixed and suspended by water-cooled hanging tube in the middle, and is generally used in the low temperature section of superheater and reheater and the serpentine tube of economizer.
